On Thursday 29 February, The Language Gallery UK welcomed representatives from Bishop Grosseteste University (BGU) to its campus at Tower Hill, London.
Alison Webb, Director of Business and Community Engagement, and Jane Fletcher, Head of Apprenticeships at BGU, were welcomed to the campus by Pranav Bhrahmbhatt, Managing Director at The Language Gallery, and Bharat Vaswani, Transformation and Strategic Partnership Director at Global University Systems, and given a tour of the campus.
The BGU team held meetings with Nitin Gupta and Boaz Arbel, Portfolio Managing Directors, Global University Systems, where they discussed the GUS ecosystem and the future vision for the BGU-TLG partnership. The BGU team also had meetings with the academic, operations and project teams of The Language Gallery.
This visit followed on from the partnership that BGU and The Language Gallery signed in December 2023. This partnership will initially see The Language Gallery launch a certificate in Higher Education in Business Management in Birmingham and Nottingham, with future expansion in Manchester and Leeds.
With a shared vision and ambition, the two institutions aim to extend transformative educational opportunities to learners less represented in higher education. This commitment will widen participation and ensure the delivery of effective, high quality, student-focused education.
Alison Webb said: “We were delighted to visit TLG and continue to strengthen our partnership. We found TLG staff welcoming and valued the opportunity to see their students engaged so well in learning.”
Bharat Vaswani said: “We are very glad to welcome Alison and Jane to the TLG campus in London. We are delighted to work with the BGU team, sharing similar visions and ambitions and are absolutely confident of a highly successful partnership.”
